Раннее выявление онкологических заболеваний является одним из приоритетных направлений во всем мире. Здоровые и злокачественные ткани человека обладают разными электромагнитными свойствами. Пилотные исследования показали возможность неинвазивного анализа электромагнитной анизотропии в биологических тканях.</p></sec><sec><title>Цель исследования</title><p>Цель исследования. Оценить диагностическую значимость электромагнитной диагностики рака предстательной железы в рамках проспективного исследования.</p></sec><sec><title>Материалы и методы</title><p>Материалы и методы. В исследование включены 124 мужчины, направленных на биопсию простаты, трансуретральное удаление гиперплазии простаты или на простатэктомию. Исследователи не имели информации о диагнозе пациента. Техника исследования: зонд прикладывали в область промежности, поворачивая его в трёх плоскостях. При обнаружении регрессии графика на мониторе в диапазоне излучения 465МГц данные фиксировались и расценивались как рак простаты. Результаты электромагнитной диагностики сравнивались с заключениями патоморфологического исследования биопсийного / операционного материала.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Выявлено 47 истинно положительных и 21 истинно отрицательных результатов. Ложноотрицательных результатов — 20, ложноположительных — 46 (группа наблюдения как потенциально истинно положительная). По результатам расчёта диагностической ценности метода получены следующие данные: чувствительность метода составила 82%, специфичность — 31%. Прогностическая ценность положительного и отрицательного результатов — 73% и 62%, соответственно. Точность метода составила 54%.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Большое количество ложноположительных результатов и, как следствие, низкая специфичность, могут быть обусловлены ранней стадией заболевания. При очагах менее 3 мм частота выявления рака предстательной железы значительно снижается, в связи с чем пациенты с ложноположительными результатами были вынесены в группу наблюдения. Обследование пациентов сканером TRIMprob TM («Galileo Avionica» SpA, Torino, Italy) может повысить раннюю выявляемость рака предстательной железы на уровне поликлинического скрининга. В настоящее время исследование продолжается. </p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Introduction</title><p>Introduction. Early diagnosis of cancer is one of the most important international strategies. Malignant and healthy tissues differ in the interaction with electromagnetic waves. Pilot studies show a potential perspective for non-invasive analysis of electromagnetic anisotropy in biological tissues.</p></sec><sec><title>Objective</title><p>Objective. To assess the diagnostic importance of the electromagnetic detection of prostate cancer (PCa) within the prospective study.</p></sec><sec><title>Materials &amp; methods</title><p>Materials &amp; methods. One hundred and twenty-four patients were included to undergo a prostate biopsy, transurethral prostate resection, or radical prostatectomy. The investigators did not have information on their clinical details. Research technique: the probe was applied to the perineal region, turning it in three planes. A reduction of the 465 MHz band below a threshold was fixed and was considered suspect for PCa. The results of electromagnetic evaluation were compared with the findings of a pathomorphological study after biopsy or surgery.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. Fourty-seven true-positive and 21 true-negative results were detected, 20 false-negative and 46 false-positive (follow-up group as potentially true-positive group). The overall sensitivity was 82%, specificity – 31%. The positive and negative predictive values were 73% and 62%, respectively. The accuracy of the method was 54%.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion. Early PCa stage could be a reason for many false-positive results and low specificity, as a result. PCa detection is significantly reduced with lesions less than 3 mm, therefore patients with false-positive results were placed in the follow-up group. Patients’ examination with the TRIMprob TM («Galileo Avionica» SpA, Torino, Italy) could increase the early PCa detection at the screening.
