Рак предстательной железы является одним из самых распространённых злокачественным новообразованием среди мужчин, на его долю приходится 19% случаев злокачественных новообразований, и он является третьей по частоте причиной смерти, связанной с раком. Уровень самоубийств среди мужчин в мире за последнее десятилетие увеличился. Кроме того, уровень самоубийств выше среди онкологических пациентов, включая пациентов с раком предстательной железы, по сравнению с населением в целом. Целью статьи является обзор современной литературы и рассмотрение взаимосвязи между раком предстательной железы, депрессией, суицидальными идеями.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common malignancies among men, accounting for 19% of malignant neoplasms and the third leading cause of cancer-related death. The suicide rate among men around the world has increased over the past decade. Additionally, suicide rates are higher among cancer patients, including those with prostate cancer, compared to the general population. The article aimed to make review the current literature and determine the correlation between prostate cancer, depression, and suicidal thoughts.
